Welcome to CARE Digest!

CARE Digest is a new feature I am incorporating to the website.  The purpose is to use it as a portal to educate visitors and our supporters on the community development approaches we are adopting and also some of the projects update.

I have been approached by various NGOs to conduct training for their staff.  In these training, I have found that there are many people with a good heart, but they got lost in a dichotomized environment where each project team cares for their own project and the various projects in these NGOs are not connected resulting in a lack of resources and connectivity.

Integrated Approach to Development is critical not only in the design of projects, but also how the various projects are integrated and understood as an organization.  Integration draws people together, bringing about various giftings and resources more strategically with little duplication.

In CVI, we integrate all our projects so that we are actually working on only ONE PROJECT although it looks like many different projects. 

How do we integrate these various projects?

In CVI, we have both Urban Outreach and Rural Outreach Program.

The Urban Outreach Program consists of :

• Volunteerism Network
• Businessmen Network
• Tian Nan School Assistance Project

The Rural Outreach Program consists of :

• Edu-HOPE
• Cattle-Of-Hope

The Volunteerism network setup the much needed manpower for the various projects.  However, we do not just focus on our own projects, but providing training to these volunteers and connecting them to other NGOs to serve us volunteers.

The Businessmen network will provide the corporative touch to community services and development.  Businesses can participate in community projects and influencing the volunteers with the importance of Social Responsibilities.  They can also be a source for some fund needed in projects.

Our emphasis for these Volunteers is to develop low cost but high impact projects.  This is because many people are slaves to money.  Thus we always see people not doing anything just because there is a lack of fund.

CARE-Venture International Website is under going a revamp to make it more informational and also automate the whole system, so that I can update the website more easily plus having an automated system to handle all visitors and subscribers, plus keeping touch with our supporters.

Other features incorporated into the website is our other businesses which I am integrating so that you can explore them and see how I can serve you.

I believe you will notice that I have redesigned the whole website.   The purpose of this is to enable much ease for the updating of information and the automatic tracking of subscribers and providing updated information to the subscribers.

I am using Wordpress and have customized it because of the many flexible andadd-on features which I can use progressively.  That is to say, instead of changing the whole site in future, I simply have to change the template and everything is change.  To enhance the website, I simply has to add-on some plugins for the features desired.  Wow!  This is what I call technology.  Everyone should be a continuous learner.  It takes humility to learn new things, and new things can often simplified the many things that was done previously.

Time is precious.  With so many things I am working on, I need to develop automated system to lessen my work so that I can do more work to serve others.

I want to thank you for your continuous support.  It is your support and prayer that makes the many projects CARE-Venture Internation is doing possible.  Just as the saying goes, Together We Can Make A Difference….
