Our Community Development Philosophy :

If we were to look into the Bible, we can see that God gave two groups of people authority :

1. Government

To bring Justice and manage the people under the Absolute Truth.  God will give government vision for the country’s development.

For example :

In China, the government has the following vision which they call the THREE SAYINGS. 

The Three Sayings basically promotes the following :

                  1. Continuous Learning

                  2. Righteousness

                  3. Politics (Management/Stewardship)

This Three Sayings will be represented in various aspects of society in different arrays.

2. Church

The Church has been commissioned to make Disciples of the Nations through living as LIGHT and SALT.  That is to say, the Church should rise up and play an important role in helping government fulfill the Vision that God has given them since they are given the understanding of God’s Truth.

The Bible is a very practical book which is still relevant today as it holds unchanging principles.  It also shows that the world we are living is a SYSTEM.  However, it is sad that we have been influenced by a dichotomized worldview that we rarely see people living a CONVERGENCE life.

CVI seeks to go back to the basic by integrating all the programs so that we are actually doing only ONE thing - Developing People To Be A Blessing To Others.

So in CVI, we have both Urban and Rural Outreach Program where we outreach to communities and raise up their capacity and involve them in living their life in accordance to the TRUTH.  It is only in living their life in accordance with the TRUTH that people can become sustainable and experience ABUNDANCE.

URBAN OUTREACH PROGRAM

Our Urban Outreach Program involves three key areas :  

1. Volunteerism Network
2. Businessmen Network
3. Community Involvement Projects

These three areas are integrated so that we have the needed resources (Time, Money, Manpower) to serve the community.
